Odroid is a series of single board computers from Hardkernel which is based just south of best Korea.
Even though they could never compete with the Raspberry Pi community, Hardkernel frequently kicks out images of Android, Kodi, and the most popular GNU/Linux distros.
It should be noted that Samsung's hardware accelerated video playback component, MFC, currently only works in Android.
It should also be noted that a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 has no trouble playing back 720p h.264 in software.
