Elementary OS (stylized as elementary OS) is an Ubuntu-based GNU/Linux distribution for desktops. It is focused on a more elegant and simple interface. Some of its more interesting features include a unique desktop environment called Pantheon, with its own panel, dock and window manager, and applications including Pantheon-Files, Midori, Geary-Mail and Noise. All included applications are made in-house or are modified versions of other popular projects.
It has recently been updated to Freya, which has included many new stylistic choices and bug fixes.
