Harmful software is usually referenced to as software that is bloated or too complex in design. Such software has been known to cause suffering to lots of people, including the death of Uriel. Examples of harmful software are Tox and the things listed in picture.
Harmful software has remained a controversial topic on /g/, where people usually care about powerful and advanced software more than simplicity. The fact that GPL is listed as harmful has made many freedomfags butthurt.
