Private Trackers
After the recent takedown of The Pirate Bay, many have looked to private trackers as an alternative
What is a private tracker? A private tracker provides the same functions as a public tracker, but it it limited to a group of people. Generally they are invite only, but some allow you to buy your way in.
How secure is a private tracker? This depends entirely on the practices of whoever is running it. Make sure the admin isn't a faggot like Dread Pirate Roberts, or you'll be fucked.
Notable Private Trackers
- HDbits (HDB)
- Greatest HD tracker, over 100,000 torrents. Invites are extremely scarce, regarded as hardest tracker to get into. Once you're in, the tracker is pretty relaxed on seeding.
- What.CD (WCD)
- Music tracker with massive library over 2 million torrents. Some inane mods, but you're here for music anyways.
- Broadcast the Net (BTN)
- Ratioless television tracker. Regarded as greatest television tracker yet, but invites are now scarce.
- Pass the Popcorn(PTP)
- Overhyped movie tracker, many torrents unseeded. Honestly not worth it unless you want +10 encodes of the same movie.
- Anime Bytes (AB)
- Anime tracker with over 100,000 torrents. Great for harder to find content and the most complete seasons are freeleech.
- IPTorrents (IPT)
- General tracker with massive amount of content. Don't fall for the anti-IPT crusade. You're a pirate, morals shouldn't be your concern. Just content.
- Waffles.FM (WFM)
- TehConnection (TehC)
