::::I would think that would be better, given how consistent GNOME tries to be. But, to be honest, I'd still recommend single-panel by-default DEs. Maybe Manjaro instead of Ubuntu, since they too care about ignorant users, but at least they don't sell them out.

IRC Channel

It was a long time ago, but the tread was talking about the possibility of an IRC channel. I created one and now there are idlers in there but not much activity since the first day. Don't know if I should keep the link there. You guys decide. I plan on getting a bot in lue of a moderator team. That seems pretty silly for me to moderate that channel, and even sillier to appoint moderators. --The Faggot Pedophile Brony Autistic Furry (talk) 20:10, 30 November 2015 (EST)

Recommended distros for beginners, Part 2

Ubuntu Mate? --Topcuck420, confused.

MATE was the closest DE (GNOME 2) when Ubuntu is still good (10.04), if you have any alternative DE to propose then go ahead. --User:Morpheus (talk) 13:08, 2 December 2015 (EST)
Do you think subjecting newbies to the Gnome Classic experience is a good idea? I mean, even I would only recommend bullshit like Cinnamon and XFCE
Or should I recommend Ubuntu GNOME instead? --User:Morpheus (talk) 01:13, 3 December 2015 (EST)
I would think that would be better, given how consistent GNOME tries to be. But, to be honest, I'd still recommend single-panel by-default DEs. Maybe Manjaro instead of Ubuntu, since they too care about ignorant users, but at least they don't sell them out.
Bullshit, I'll never recommend that piece of shit Manjaro. --User:Morpheus (talk) 11:45, 3 December 2015 (EST)
