I suggest we merge these two pages. Both cover the same information, and are both intended to help a new or potential Linux user decide which distro to use. Much of the information between the two is redundant. Does anyone have any objections to a merge? --[[User:Leenawx|Leenawx]] ([[User talk:Leenawx|talk]]) 10:28, 18 January 2015 (EST)

Remove the desktop environments and window managers section, and link to GNU/Linux Ricing instead IMO. The images should be moved to that page too. --Chchjesus (talk) 16:42, 12 February 2014 (EST)

This article is partially aimed at new/prospective GNU/Linux users. Most ISOs are prepackaged with a desktop environment, so it's important the the user have a good idea of what the desktop will look like when they first boot it up. The DE is an important factor to consider before making the investment of downloading a ~1GB ISO. --Ergopon (talk) 21:52, 13 February 2014 (EST)
