Albeit this might be considered technology related, in practice desktop threads consist nothing but an endless circlejerk of tripfags and other posters of the lowest tier; little technology is discussed in these threads and posts mostly consist of circlejerk, faggotry and /soc/shit.
Desktop threads are considered by most of /g/ as the ultimate cancer that should be eradicated of our board.
