WYSIWYG is an acronym meaning What you see is what you get. This is attributed to an editor of some kind that allows you to edit code of some kind without actually coding, allowing people to think they're smart and developers despite them being stupid.
Acceptable WYSIWYG editors
- Text processing
- LibreOffice, OpenOffice, and others are technically WYSIWYG editors because they do fancy text formatting rather than plain text, and use a markup language of their own. An alternative to these would be using the coding language LaTeX.
- Please only use a Free text processor program, and not something like Microsoft Office or Microsoft Works!.
Unacceptable WYSIWYG editors
- HTML editors
- Since the late 90's, WYSIWYG HTML editors have been causing the downfall of the internet, and creating RUE after RUE. Just learn basic HTML, dumbass. it's not that hard. It's even easier now that HTML5 exists.
- If you're using a visual editor for any coding language besides markup (HTML excluded), you are NOT a coder, and you are NOT coding. You are a dumbass pleb.
